Dectomax 10mg/ml Solution for Injection:
Cattle: Treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, eyeworms, warbles, lice, and mange mites.
Sheep: Treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, nasal bots, and mange mites (including sheep scab caused by Psoroptes ovis).

Dectomax 10mg/ml Solution for Injection is a group 3, ML (clear) wormer containing doramectin, that treats worms and scab in sheep with a single intramuscular injection. It can be used as part of a quarantine dose for incoming stock to treat for worms and scab. Dectomax also delivers broad spectrum parasite control in cattle.
SHEEP
Dectomax 10mg/ml Solution for Injection treats and controls infections of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, nasal bots and mange mites in sheep:

*For effective treatment and control of both adults and L4 larvae of Nematodirus battus a dose rate of 300mcg/kg is needed.
**Inhibited larval stages (L4) including strains that are resistant to benzimidazole are also controlled

The pharmacokinetics of Dectomax Solution for Injection allows protection of cattle against infection or re-infection with the following parasites for the period indicated:
Ostertagia ostertagi - 35 days
Cooperia oncophora - 21 days
Dictyocaulus viviparus - 35 days
Bunostomum phlebotomum - 22 days
Oesophagostomum radiatum - 21 days
Trichostrongylus axei - 28 days
Linognathus vituli - 28 days
Psoroptes bovis - 42 days
Haemonchus placei - 28 days
To ensure administration of a correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible; accuracy of the dosing device should be checked.
In cattle: A single treatment of 1ml (10mg doramectin) per 50kg bodyweight, equivalent to 200μg/kg bodyweight, administered in the region of the neck by subcutaneous injection.
In sheep: A single treatment of 1ml (10mg doramectin) per 33kg bodyweight, equivalent to 300mcg/kg bodyweight, administered by intramuscular injection for the treatment and control of Psoroptes ovis (sheep scab mite) and adult Nematodirus battus. In addition, adequate bio-security measures should be implemented to prevent re-infestation. Ensure that all sheep which have been in
contact with infested sheep are treated. After treatment, contact between treated infected and untreated uninfected flocks must be avoided for at least 14 days. A single treatment of 1ml (10mg doramectin) per 50kg bodyweight, equivalent to 200μg/kg bodyweight, administered by intramuscular injection for the control of certain other gastro-intestinal nematodes and nasal bots.
