Clik Extra Pour On

Clik Extra Pour On is used for the prevention of blowfly strike on sheep caused by Lucilia sericata or Wohlfahrtia magnifica.

Clik Extra Pour On is best applied before an anticipated blowfly challenge, or when a blowfly challenge is identified on, or in the vicinity of, the farm. Established strikes may require a separate treatment with a knockdown insecticide. It is recommended that animals with dirty back-ends are dagged or crutched prior to application. If dagging or crutching is undertaken in the weeks following
application, these animals should be re-treated, otherwise protection could be lost. Do not apply during heavy rainfall, or when such conditions are expected. The resulting wash out may reduce the protection period.

The veterinary medicinal product will protect against fly strike for 19 weeks.

Clik Extra Pour On must be applied with a manual or automatic dosing gun, fitted with a spray nozzle, such as Clik / Clik Extra / Clikzin Pour On Applicator which guarantees the correct spreading of the product on the fleece. Best results will be achieved by holding the gun approximately 45 cm from the sheep during application. Apply as a fan spray using a 4 stroke method in bands at least 10cm wide -

1. Stroke 1: From the mid-shoulder to the middle of the back (midline).
2. Stroke 2: From the middle of the back to the top of the tail (midline).
3. Stroke 3: From one side of the crutch/tail up to the tail head.
4. Stroke 4: From the other side of the crutch/tail up to the tail head.

Apply according to the following recommendations:

• 10 - 20kg = 20ml
• 21 - 30kg = 24ml
• 31 - 50kg = 30ml
• >50kg = 36ml

Guide dose volumes correspond to 0.6 – 2ml (39 – 130mg dicyclanil) per kg bodyweight.

To ensure administration of a correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible; accuracy of the dosing device should also be checked.
