Kathleen Thompson (Kath) is the Farm & Equine Stock Co-ordinator at Alnorthumbria and has been a valued member of the team since 2015. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and is a qualified Farm SQP/RAMA.

Kath’s interest in animal care began early, having grown up on a local cattle and sheep farm. While still at school and college, she volunteered, and later worked, at a veterinary practice, gaining valuable hands-on experience. After spending several years as a manager in retail, Kath returned to the veterinary world, bringing with her a strong work ethic, organisational skills, and a lifelong love of animals.  At home, she has two dogs and three budgies, and loves heading out for beach walks with her canine companions. Kath still enjoys getting stuck into lambing, (when the weather behaves), loves music, a good book, and plays darts for a local team.
