Liver Fluke Rapid Antibody Test: The antibody test kit enables the rapid diagnosis of Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke) in cattle and sheep. The test detects antibodies circulating in the blood of fluke-infected animals through a blood droplet taken from the ear of the animal. Each test kit contains enough components for 10 separate tests and results are available within 10 minutes. The rapid results will allow farmers to make an informed diagnosis and implement targeted treatment programmes.
Carefully read the usage instructions contained within the kit (also downloadable on this page). Each test is a single use test. Dispose after use. Each lateral flow device can only be used once. Use within one hour of opening. Do not use after the expiry date. The test is designed for use with blood but can used with plasma or serum.
