FerAppease 300ml

FerAppease is a synthetic analogue of the Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance (mBAS). mBAS is naturally secreted by the sebaceous gland located on the skin of the udder with the unique function of inducing an appeasing effect on the nursing offspring. The product is topically applied, in the divot behind the poll and to the skin above the muzzle, and works to diminish cortisol release, and so reduce the impact of stress by mimicking the same natural pathway of mBAS.

Stressed animals may stop eating, lose weight and have a reduced immune response making them more susceptible to disease.

FerAppease should be used whenever healthy cattle are exposed to physical and physiological stressful events - such as handling, weaning, dehorning, castrating, vaccinating, TB testing, mixing groups and transporting and the effects can last for a period of 14 days.

FerAppease is not a medicinal product and there is no withdrawal period.
